I thought I’d drop something a little different on you this week.
A while back, my esteemed program director (and bon vivant) Eric Samuels gave me an opportunity to do a talk show on 650 CISL in Vancouver. It was probably the scariest thing I’ve done in my radio career. Anyway, it aired from midnight to 2:00 on a Wednesday morning and I may have been the only one listening. Actually, two friends of mine heard it and two people I don’t know called in, so there were five of us at least. This is your chance to be a part of an exclusive group!
This is was the final segment of my inaugural and ultimate broadcast on 650 CISL in which I dissect the brilliance of the Charmin Ultra bathroom tissue commercial. (This is the closet video I could find. Do you remember the Charmin jingle?)
Anyway, now that you’ve seen it, check out this week’s edition of the “Podcast”
A long time ago, I was a street performer and traveled to a few spots including Australia and Winnipeg. The most famous Calgary street performer is arguably Dan the One Man Band – Dan Duguay. Check him out at www.dantheonemanband.com We sat down at a drinking hole in Marda Loop to talk about wintersport, softcore porn, and the national onion ring.
This is the second half of last week’s Roger Kingkade Podcast with Kelly Doody. Things get a little more… interesting, to say the least. We talk about something every man wishes every woman knew more about.
Kelly Doody writes Page Six and the “Six in the City” blog for the Calgary Sun. She’s a gifted writer and a very funny and opinionated lady. It was my pleasure to have her as a guest on the RK Podcast.
This is a shortened version of the podcast. We’re teasing you a little. Kelly has some great takes on the Olympics which you can hear today. Next week, you’ll be able to hear the whole podcast. Check back then.
After a brief lunch meeting in Calgary a month ago, Hawksley Workman agreed to sit in on an episode of the podcast. To say this guy has a lot of thoughts running through his mind is an understatement. We will likely have to get together on a future episode. In the meantime, check out the conversation and share a link to the podast with your friends.
Also, it would be a shame if I didn’t mention that the man walked for 90 minutes over a considerable distance to downtown Toronto to be on this podcast. I am very grateful and think that the man may be partly crazy.
Toronto-based comedian and actor Ryan Belleville is my guest on the RK Podcast. He was gracious enough to stick around for some extra time, so today’s podcast is split into two parts. Enjoy them both!
The boys from thecorrectness.com, Dave Ware, Tony Binns, and Rob Mitchelson sit down to talk about Dane Cook, David Caruso, and a lot of nerdy things. Click on their site and find out why so many Fark users do the same all the time. Please enjoy and pass it on.
Jeff Wilson is my guest in this episode. We go off about Australia Day, Chinese colouring books, and Canadian prorogation among other things. Thanks for listening. If you like the Roger Kingkade Podcast, please tell your friends and pass on the link. If you don’t like it, please keep it to yourself.
This is what Jeff looks like when he’s standing next to me on top of a mountain.
This is Roger Kingkade's podcast where he and a guest discuss things that are happening, things that are bothersome, and reasons why Canada is not as awesome as every Canadian thinks it is.
